Dirty or not, Saints' defense will remain aggressive

Vikings coach Brad Childress is still spouting off how those dirty Saints defenders were out to purposely hurt Brett Favre in last years NFC Championship Game.

Parcells steps aside, Ireland takes Miami reins

CBS Bill Parcells is putting his protege in charge.

The Miami Dolphins football czar has given control of the team to general manager Jeff Ireland but will retain a role as a daily consultant. The Dolphins announced the move in a three-sentence statement Tuesday, five days before the start of the season.

The change was part of a long-range plan when the Parcells regime took over at the end of the 2007 season, the statement said.

"This was the intent of the structure put in place in the past," the Dolphins said. Ireland will assume full control over all aspects regarding the team and support staff.

Moss feels 'not wanted' without offer from Pats

Special to CB New England Patriots receiver Randy Moss, speaking for the first time since camp began, expressed frustration because the team has not offered him a new contract.

Moss, 33, entering the final year of a three-year deal, is scheduled to earn $6.4 million this season and said he thinks he deserves a new pact based on his production the past two seasons.

Revis ends holdout, agrees to new deal with Jets

CBSSpo just in time for the New York Jets to start their Super Bowl run.

All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and the Jets agreed in principle to a four-year contract Sunday night, reaching a deal a week before the teams season opener.

The Jets wouldnt disclose financial terms of the deal, but the reported it was worth $46 million, including $32 million guaranteed.
